Rapping with conviction, Snoop smashes it! Also, he doesn’t hold back with him telling it how it is through his innovative wordplay. He has a unique approach, and it pays off from the get-go with this one likely to recruit a whole new line of Dogg lovers. His confidence is refreshing, too, with him standing out for all the right reasons.
Building His Empire
Speaking to Rolling Stone, Dogg said, “I’ve been a boss and entrepreneur in this game for decades, and I keep on building my empire.” He also said, “My new single ‘CEO’ talks about the work and hustle I put in to be the boss. With moves like launching my own liquor brand, INDOGGO.”
Musically, ‘CEO‘ is loyal to Snoop Dogg’s backlog with his signature sounds and style blossoming as it progresses. Moreover, his opening lyric of feeling like he never left is accurate. Especially, given that this gem follows a similar path to his previous hits. Nevertheless, there are plenty of new elements within his mix. Likewise, he keeps relevant to modern times with a flow that rivals some of the most prominent hip hop tracks currently gracing the chart.
Overall, ‘CEO‘ is a feel-good release which we all need in our lives right about now! Additionally, it is memorable, the bass is deep, and the cadence is challenging to keep at bay. Top job, Snoop!
