The Older You Get, The Less You Cry‘ by LANY – Single Rating: 5/5 ★★★★★

It’s no wonder that ‘The Older You Get, The Less You Cry’ by LANY is finding its way onto countless playlists worldwide. This new track from their album, ‘gg bb xx,’ is magnificent!

Furthermore, the band hold nothing back and smash it from the get-go! They start with a therapeutic experience, and the euphonic sounds that arise from the tune leave an impression that’s impossible to shake off (not that you’d want to).

The entire piece is enchanting, and it transports us to a place where only the most tranquil vibes exist. It begins with a compelling guitar lead arrangement that echoes throughout the mix alongside an atmospheric synth composition. This tune brings a dreamlike mood to the vanguard, and the group hypnotise us with their allure!

Paul Klein, the lead singer, rises to the situation with enthusiasm and deftly reaches for the microphone. He stands out in this space, and it isn’t easy to compare him to another vocalist in the same genre. His vocals are thrilling, and he adds to the music’s already ethereal atmosphere, aided by the beat tapping away in the background to hold the mix together.

Lyrically, this one gets you right in the feels! Moreover, the message takes us back to our own early life experiences, examining how things change as we get older, as do our perceptions and feelings.
