Justin Bieber, ‘Hold On’ – Single Review

Words: | March 10, 2021

Justin Bieber returns with his new compelling release, ‘Hold On‘. It is the fourth single from his upcoming ‘Justice‘ album.

It starts with a nostalgic guitar lead with an 80s vibe, a theme that many pop stars have been following in recent years. However, Bieber soon brings it back to modern times with his inviting vocal rising out of the mix quickly. He sounds as delightful as ever with his harmonically-rich tones gliding through the airwaves.

Optimistic Bieber

Bieber wears his heart on his sleeve on ‘Hold On‘. Furthermore, he opens up about losing his way previously, and he offers hope and optimism for anyone heading down a similar path. Moreover, His candid performance his heartfelt, and he speaks about the truths of his experiences growing up in the limelight.

Musically, the mix drips energy with a beat that will have your foot tapping instantly. It is groovy, and the catchy hooks within the musical arrangement prove infallible. It delves into a new space for Bieber, but he keeps loyal to his original sound with his high-pitched vocals often rising into the stereo space.

Also, the release structure is impressive; it does not follow a habitual pattern, often the case with music like this. Instead, it sways onto a distinct path, regularly stopping and starting to give Bieber the vocal airtime he deserves.

Overall, ‘Hold On‘ is a testament that Justin Bieber is as hungry for chart-toppers as when he broke out onto the scene many years ago. Also, still only 27 years old, he is improving with every release, and this one will most likely be ringing out for quite some time!
