Beautiful Beaches‘ by James – Single Rating: 5/5 ★★★★★

Manchester Indie Rock band James are red-hot as ever with their new release, ‘Beautiful Beaches‘. The track is from the group’s upcoming album All The Colours Of You due out on the 4th of June.

Easy to get lost in Tim’s melodic vocal delivery, the band are just as potent today as they ever have been, and they showcase their prowess from the get-go hence the five-star rating given here. They get the goosebumps rising from the start, and they smash it with a track that will be ear medicine for anybody who craves the most exquisite indie rock.

Beautiful Beaches‘ kicks off with a serene electrified organ prologue similar to what you may expect from Coldplay. But, the indie legends get back to usual business in the verse with the drumbeat paving the way forward with signature James flair. Likewise, a vivacious bass rhythm rises out and thumps at the speakers with a nail-biting texture.

Escape

Tim soon rises, and he flies high with a captivating vocal lead performance. He sings a passionate narrative about breaking away from Kansas and getting to a beautiful beach that Tim uses as an analogy for a happy place. He is convincing with his wordplay. Also, his upbeat delivery could not have come at a better time given the last few years we have all endured.

Musically, the entire track is exhilarating; it leads us on an adventure that is challenging to let go of once it’s in full swing!
