Eminem is back with a bang! His latest gem, ‘Gnat‘ is already becoming a fan favourite with many claiming that it is the best release from the rapper for quite some time. I would not argue with the popular opinion either, Eminem sounds as potent as ever!
It kicks off with a thunderous overture with many sounds leaping out of the mix with a strong flavour. For me, only Eminem could get away with kicking off in the way he does. Furthermore, the sounds smash through with vigour, and he takes us down a new path with a movement which is refreshing. Also, I relish the guitar melody which plucks away in the background. At times it has a very traditional American musical sound. Still, Eminem keeps it real with his signature hip hop beats and hooks cementing deep.
Relevancy
Eminem raps with authentic relevancy, and it is challenging not to get onto his wavelength with him conversing about current topics such as SARS and COVID. His words flow like never before, and he proves that he still one of the worlds most important names in the game with his infectious and top-class quality vaulting out from the get-go.
Overall, I cannot seem to get enough of ‘Gnat‘ by Eminem. I have always been an admirer of the rapper. But, it has been quite a few years since the hitmaker blew me away quite like this. Moreover, on this occasion, he has me hanging on his every word just like he did the first time I came across him in my youth. Therefore, hats off, Eminem, you did good!
