Electronic DJ San Holo stupefies with his new release ‘It Hurts‘. It is a release that flows with a myriad of harmonically rich melodies, and it is quintessential of the producers talent.
‘It Hurts‘ kicks off with a harrowing overture with a ghost-like lead and it would make the perfect Halloween soundtrack. Nevertheless, the route changes often, and post-intro, it gets a new lease of life. Moreover, San Holo leaps forward with a top-class vocal performance, piercing the heartstrings with his emotion leaking out of the mix.
On The Edge Of Our Seat
From the opening sections, it is evident that the track will become a nail-biting piece, and it does not disappoint. Moreover, it gets the listener gripping to its every movement. Also, it keeps the energy levels high with an unorthodox structure. So much so, it becomes unpredictable, and it is an attribute that San Holo delivers so well, he knows how to keep us on the edge of our seat, and he does just that here.
Overall, ‘It Hurts‘ by San Holo is a track that gets better with every playthrough. Also, it arrives just that little bit different, which is refreshing given that a lot of electronic tracks head down a similar path. Mind you; it is no surprise to witness San Holo taking a direction of his own with his highly acclaimed hit release ‘Light‘ also following a similar trend. But is this track going to be enough to take him to the masses? Only time will tell.
