Turn Up That Dial‘ by Dropkick Murphys – Single Rating: 4/5 ★★★★

The Celtic punk band Dropkick Murphys boot the ball out of the park with their new release, ‘Turn Up That Dial‘ from their new album of the same title.

The band unleash their signature hooks as if there is no tomorrow, with the vocal melodies leaving us gripping onto every word. Lyrically, the thought-provoking wordplay stands out with prevalence with the group speaking about the turmoil of the last few years. But, finding light at the end of the tunnel through music, many will relate to their narrative.

Vivacious

Vivacious from the get-go, ‘Turn Up That Dial‘ is a detox track with the group letting off steam instantly. Their passion is burning, and they prove to still have the golden touch, with each member sounding better than ever. Furthermore, the music is refreshing, and the sounds which leap out of the mix are compelling.

Fusing punk with a myriad of instruments, including banjo and accordion, Dropkick Murphys create a soundscape that is challenging to find elsewhere in the modern space. The direction follows a route that the group have taken many times previously, but they rise with vigour, and their distinct charm pays off with us itching to hit replay to get another fix.

Also, the group do not conform to the status quo; instead, they follow a unique route, and their journey is memorable with the band taking on the world once again.
