Demi Lovato and Ariana Grande come together and boss it with their new release, ‘Met Him Last Night‘. The single is from Demi’s recent album, ‘Dancing With The Devil… The Art Of Starting Over‘.
As you would expect, given the calibre of both artists, the vocals are mind-blowing! The pair leverage their ability from the get-go, and they take a giant leap forward with their harmonically rich tones soaring to the top of the mix. Their layered vocals synergise seamlessly on top of one another, with both Demi and Ariana radiating with confidence, and it creates an unstoppable force that is challenging to tame.

‘Met Him Last Night‘ starts with a somewhat steady overture with a string arrangement and an eery synth lead, which instantly sets the entire piece’s tone. It is an unorthodox release for the pair, and they head down a new path with a musical flow that is unlike anything else currently popping out of the modern scene.
Lyrically, they speak about the devil, who is most likely a metaphor for a bad guy. They know the risk involved with them, but they enjoy the company even if it is ‘not right’. Are we witnessing the singers more fierce side here? It appears so with their courageous wordplay driving the way forward. The devil is spoken about a lot in Demi’s new album, and it seems that the dark beast has been an inspiration over the last few years; it sounds crazy, right? But, it has resulted in top-class music.
