Restless Souls’ by Angels & Airwaves – Single Rating: 4/5 ★★★★

Angels & Airwaves are no strangers to an anthemic release, and their new track, ‘Restless Souls,’ does not disappoint. The fresh release is from the band’s upcoming album, ‘Lifeforms‘, which they recently announced from space. ‘Lifeforms‘ will be out on the 24th of September.

Restless Souls‘ opens with an out-of-this-world overture with a chilling driving theme that sets the tone for frontman Tom DeLonge’s powerful vocal performance. He sounds a little different here, but his unique voice quality is still present, and his trademark twang seeps through the mix, providing ear medication to his devoted fans.

New Dimension

The music is classic Angels & Airwaves, with the tempo increasing as the song proceeds. Furthermore, it starts delicately but quickly builds up until the melting point in the middle. The refrain is robust, with a catchy melody that creates an indelible impression on the listener’s mind. Also, the spinning synths offer a new dimension to the music. Likewise, each band member contributes their talents to create a soundtrack unlike any other in the game.

This new treasure is popular in modern times, with Tom claiming that it is an honest letter from “God to humanity.” In addition, the artist has discussed how it illustrates how life inspires us and makes us better when we are going through difficult circumstances. With his thought-provoking language, he strikes the nail on the head, and it provides us with a taste of what to expect from the highly anticipated new album, which will be out in September.
