It is a track with has a toned-down vibe with a steady backbeat and a catchy melody hook. Usher, also boasts his signature sound but yet wears his heart even firmer on his sleeve on ‘I Cry’. He sings with genuine emotion, and I could almost touch the sentiment which was dripping all over the mix.

While I was shut in during the pandemic and watching the death of George Floyd, the ongoing slaughter of Black men and woman, the protests and the events that unfolded, I became very connected to the wider universal feeling of hopelessness’.
