Sucked Sweet‘ by The Cribs – Single Rating: 4/5 ★★★★☆

‘Sucked Sweet,’ the new single from The Cribs, is out now. It’s a track that their old fans will love, and it’ll be a delicious treat for newcomers as well!

The band that rose to the top of the indie world many moons ago are back with a bang! ‘Sucked Sweet’ is also quintessential Cribs, with their salient indie textures jumping out of the scene with just as much prevalence as ever before! The band rarely reinvent themself or alter their sound in any manner, but they nevertheless manage to sound incredibly powerful and fit into whichever era they find themselves in.

Enthralling Energy

‘Sucked Sweet’ begins with a guitar lead with a video game soundtrack effect! The band quickly emerges and bursts forth from the speakers with enthralling energy. The guitar tones are charming and have an edgy style that The Cribs manage to provide time after time!

Ryan Jarman, the band’s frontman, rises to the occasion admirably. His vocal method has frequently been unconventional, with him not necessitating a traditional singing technique. Ryan generally does what he wants and cries out whenever he wants, and he often sings in a grunge style. He does just that here, but he sounds impressive, and it complements the indie soundtrack emitted by the production. He also changes the melody with the track’s journey shifting towards the latter with a hook that many people will equate to something from a Beatles song.
