Near Death Experience are back, and they come brighter than ever with their new release ‘Moves’.

The band who hail from London in the UK formed only a few years ago, and it is remarkable considering the quality they provide. Furthermore, they are already taking massive leaps in the indie rock space, and they have a powerful sound which is irresistible.

‘Moves’ is bold and slaps you round the chops but it is not bothersome. Also, they bring a festival sound which would sound incredible blasting out of a festival tent. Vocally, ‘Ian Whiteling’ is in his own realm, and he surrenders a grit which we do not often hear in modern rock.

Exceptional

Lyrically it is about an exceptional lady who moves everyone she meets. It adopts a similar theme to their last track ‘Conquer’ which outlined a similar message. Also, the word choice proves they are not just an influential band with songwriting class but also a band who tell a good story and open up our imagination instantly. However, possibly a little more backing vocals could have been added to add even more power in the side spaces.

The music structure gravitates towards 60s rock. It boasts a guitar rhythm which could rattle even the sternest of listeners and the drumbeat thumps like a jackhammer. Also, musically, they sound charismatic with confidence popping out left right and centre, and it presents an emotional quality, which proves highly sentimental.

Overall, a smash hit indie-rock gem which brings a unique sound with reliance jumping out from the get-go and a music structure which leads them on an unusual path.

You can take a listen to ‘Moves’ By Near Death Experience below. Also, the track is to released on the 14th August, but you can get it the moment it comes out by pre-saving (It is what all the cool kids are doing).
