Luis Morrison, the up and coming indie rock musician from Birmingham stopped by for a chat!

Colby: What Do You Enjoy Most About Being A Musician?

Luis Morrison: Sharing moments, that’s what music is all about for me. It’s also a wonderful way to meet lots of new and exciting people. There’s no better feeling than when somebody tells you a performance touched them emotionally.

Colby: Which Track Of Yours Means The Most To You?

Luis Morrison: We have a track on the upcoming record called ‘Suburban Nightmares’. It’s about battling through your personal demons. It holds a lot of emotional weight for me personally. I like to tell stories with my music.

Colby: The First-Ever Gig You Played, Can You Remember It? How Was It?

Luis Morrison: Me and an acoustic guitar in a run-down old church. I dropped some good old fashioned blues tunes. It was fantastic! I got paid a fiver for my troubles. Still have it somewhere.

Colby:  What Do You Think Is The Key To Success As A Musician?

Luis Morrison: First and foremost, do what makes you happy. Take time to hone your craft on stage and off. Absorb critique like a sponge and use it. Most importantly, for those who suffer with confidence, learn that adrenaline is your friend and you can harness it!!!

Colby: If You Wasn’t A Musician, What Job Would You Be Doing?

Luis Morrison: Probably still something to do with music, like a journalist or a roadie. Although I love animals and the sea so maybe like a marine biologist or something?
