‘My Drug’ by Kid Cudi – Single Rating: 4/5 ★★★★☆

Kid Cudi, the American rapper and actor, is back with a brand new single titled ‘My Drug’. The song is from Cudi’s album and animated television special ‘Entergalactic’, which is out now!

‘My Drug’ begins with a hazy synth overture. The aura puts us in a state of deep relaxation, transporting us to a place that is an ocean away from any mayhem. It is followed by a steady climb of sound during which the words “No, No, No” can be heard coming from the speakers. It then meets a noteworthy vocal performance from Kid Cudi, who is also the creator behind the well-known Netflix special ‘Entergalactic’.

Cudi is performing at the top of his game. Also, he provides an impeccable performance with a sound that finds itself in a category all by itself. Moreover, it is difficult to compare this delivery to anything else that is taking place in the scene currently. Additionally, the skill that Cudi possesses to keep us on our toes throughout the entirety of the song is a quality that only the top players in the game have.

Overall an enjoyable release from Kid Cudi. It is slightly out of the box in terms of its vision. But, that is what makes it such the treat that it is!
