Hot N Heavy ‘by Jessie Ware – Single Rating: 4/5 ★★★★

With her latest record, ‘Hot N Heavy‘, multitalented British singer-songwriter Jessie Ware gives the music world a new gift.

Hot N Heavy‘ begins with a daring beat that gets the hips jiving in no time. Next, Jessie bursts onto the stage and delivers an unforgivably catchy singing performance. Her exquisite tones in the opener are inviting, and she doesn’t hold back when it comes to letting her star quality shine through.

The atmosphere shifts slightly in the chorus, and a Katy Perry feeling greets the listener. So much so that if you listen to the chorus alone, you would think it’s a song by the ‘Fireworks‘ singer. On the other hand, Jessie stays true to herself, with her trademark hooks resonating throughout the mix.

The Soundscape Is Energizing

As the track progresses, the soundscape delves more profound, and a myriad of new sounds refresh the senses. A lively bass riff adds to the excitement, and it has a summery feel about it that’s hard to ignore. Similarly, in the last sections, a synth lead takes centre stage, giving the already thrilling composition a new dimension.

Overall, Jessie Ware’s latest offering can’t go wrong. Furthermore, it improves with each playtime and raises endorphins with its peppy and feel-good emotion. It also prepares the groundwork for modern pop to move forward.

The song will also be in Jessie’s upcoming deluxe edition of the album, ‘What’s Your Pleasure?‘. The album will be out on the 11th of June.
