Hannah Grace Colin is a dancer, singer, and actress who uses her music and positive attitude to convey joy. She came over to say hello. So grab a bag of popcorn and enter Hannah Grace Colin’s world.

Colby: Hannah, hello there. Thank you for taking the time to chat with us. First and foremost, let’s discuss your new single, ‘Control.’ Is it a song that holds a special place in your heart? If so, why?

Hannah: My original debut song means so much to me! The inspiration for the song was from my own personal struggles dealing with negative comments on social media and people who treat you badly out of jealousy. It is about how you are “in control”, in control of your life and learning to not let others bring you down. This song is so relatable in today’s society and I hope it can help others by reminding them “they are in control”, in control of your life and that you have the power to choose how you let that negatively impact you. So don’t let anything bring you down, be “in control” and stay true to yourself and live your best life.

Colby: You mention social media and the negativity that frequently surrounds it; do you believe that social media is a good thing?

Hannah: Yes, social media is definitely meant to be a positive and good thing.  It is a place for you to share what is going on in your life, positive quotes, promote you, your friends or products. It’s a place to connect with your followers, family members who don’t live close to you and friends who have moved. However, this is not always the case. That is why I use my social media to promote positivity and my personal platform KINDness Wins – #KINDnessWinsHGC. Which is about using positivity to combat negative people and bullies. Teaching others to spread kindness. And to be honest, there is so much going on in everyone’s lives that I want to spread happiness and positivity.

Colby: As I gathered from listening to your new single, do you reckon that positive action can help overcome many challenges in life?

Hannah: Yes, definitely! Trust me this wasn’t always easy for me. Especially when this small-town girl from Indiana first became known. But what I have learned is that with a positive attitude and surrounding yourself with people who love you for who you are, you can overcome anything.

Colby: Do you have any intentions to release more new songs in the future?

Hannah: So I do have some really cool things coming up in the next few months! Along with a music video for “Control”, I will be doing an acoustic version of this upbeat dance song. I will also have more original songs coming soon!

Colby: Finally, what is one track by any artist that you can listen to over and over again that never gets old?

Hannah: Saturday Nights by Khalid. It’s just a super chill song I can listen to when I’m in any mood. Right now it is my go to song for the car.
