So we all know that Glastonbury, Reading/Leeds and Isle of Wight are going to be huge this year. Pulling hundreds of thousands of people from all across the globe to see acts like Radiohead and Arcade Fire. Those bigger festivals rarely disappoint, with a huge variety of things to do if you don’t count the music itself. But what are some other options for this summer. From some lesser known festivals that could be equally worth your time?

1. Love Supreme Jazz Festival, 30th June – 2nd July. Glynde Place, East Sussex.

Starting in 2013. Love Supreme brings jazz, funk and R&B juggernauts from all over the world to the English countryside, for your pure musical enjoyment. Saturday alone features The Jacksons and Badbadnotgood. With a wealth of other talent including DJ sets and after hour lounges. Sunday is equally as strong, with the unquestionably talented George Benson heading a bill which includes Gregory Porter and Robert Glasper. If you are a fan of jazz music, past and present, you don’t want to miss this.

2. British Summer Time, 30th June – 9th July. Hyde Park London.

Going from strength to strength every year. British Summer Time has been adding bigger and bigger artists as the years have gone by, recently playing host to Taylor Swift in the prime of her 1989 tour. This year’s 6 dates are no different, with headliners Phil Collins, Green Day, The Killers and Tom Petty being only the tip of the talent available. Take all that, an iconic location like Hyde Park and that no-camping festival lifestyle. You have yourself one amazing time! Expect many outdoor cinema and comedy events too, British Summer Time always has something for everyone!

3. Creamfields, 24th – 27th August. Daresbury.

Electronic fans rejoice. Creamfields brings a wealth of talent from house, EDM, trance and more to the same festival, giving fans of the genres more choice than you would think possible. On their 20th anniversary, the likes of deadmau5, Eric Prydz, Tiësto and Martin Garrix will be appearing, continuing the festival’s reputation of incredible music and amazing live shows. If you want the full summer festival experience and cannot get enough of electronic and dance music, this is the place for you.
