The Vamps only recently where nowhere to be found. But, they are back now with ‘Married In Vegas’, and they resume where they left off. The track is a product of COVID-19 lockdown with James Mcvey revealing how it came about in a recent interview.

Furthermore, the guitarist said “I was playing Playstation with my mates and it was about 11 pm. Brad Face Timed me and he was like ‘I’ve just written this song!’. I love moments like that because even when you think something’s done it can still change at the last minute. We jumped on a zoom with Lostboy the next morning to finish the song.”

Pop Flavour

‘Married In Vegas’ has a modern pop flavour but also reminds me a little of the Brit-pop era with its funky rhythm and melody which grips instantly. It is genuine to the pop group who found fame back in 2014. Their signature quality is oozing on this piece, and it follows a similar vibe to their previous hits but also takes them into a new realm of maturity.

Kicking off is a robust beat tapping away before a sublime vocal opens. The intro glides its way through and before we know it all the guns are blazing with a triumphant chorus. Vocally, the band are flying high with them all hitting the sweet spots individually. The structure is ingenious too, with it taking an unorthodox approach from the get-go. Also, it brings the feel-good we have all been waiting for, for quite some time.

This new release is from their new album ‘Cherry Blossom’ which will be available in October. You can take a listen to ‘Married In Vegas’ by The Vamps below. Also, let us know your thoughts on the new track by commenting on our social media accounts. Do you think it is their best?
