Paul McCartney recently spoke with Sean Lennon, (John Lennon’s son) for the BBC Radio 2 John Lennon at 80 programs. In the interview, he revealed how important it was for him to reconcile with John before his death in 1980.
Speaking candidly, Paul said: “I always say to people, one of the great things for me was that after all The Beatles rubbish and all the arguing and the business, you know, business differences really … that even after all of that, I’m so happy that I got it back together with your dad”.
Paul also revealed that even 40 years on from when John died, John influences his songwriting decisions still to this day.
