Pop rockers, Neck Deep, are back with their new single ‘I Revolve (Around You)’. It is a track which certainly pumps its way. It sounds anthemic from the get-go with the band oozing in confidence.

Starting is vocalist ‘Ben Barlow’ getting the show on the road. He sings with a signature quality. It sounds like a follow on from the pop-rock era which we heard so much of in the 2000 period. I relish how the band have brought a nostalgic feel yet they keep contemporary too with the modern-day pop-rock scene.

Love

The track is all about love, but it takes a paradoxical approach which is refreshing. They compare love to planets which is unique in itself, so much so I doubt you will hear a similar lyrical direction anywhere else. It is not just the witty lyricism which is grabbing my attention though—The music grips with nail-biting riffs. Also, the drumbeat thumps down the speaker with an edge which is hard to resist.

For me, pop-rock is heading to new heights with Neck Deep leading the way. They have a rawness and freshness in their sound which makes them shine like a beacon and ‘I Revolve (Around You)’ catapults them to a new realm. Also, as you would expect from Neck Deep, the chorus could fill a stadium twice over with its infectious melody line and poignant meaning. So, is this their best track to date? I would say it is up there for sure with it ticking all the right boxes for me.
