It is quite well known that Liam Gallagher can be a little bit “difficult” sometimes but that doesn’t stop him from being kind to young fans though.

The former Oasis frontman played the Hordern Pavilion in Sydney on January 4 and just before performing Oasis’ hit Wonderwall, Gallagher spotted a child in the audience, dedicated the song to him, and gave him a special present, his tambourine, so he could play along to ‘Wonderwall’.

Fans applauded Liam’s actions on social media after the gig, with one Twitter user writing: “absolute top marks for chucking that young lad a tambourine and making his night”.

Liam revealed in a Reddit Ask Me Anything session two months ago that he actually owns between 1,500 and 2,000 tambourines. Both round and triangle ones apparently, so he has plenty to spare.

Following the gig, Liam praised the Sydney crowd, tweeting: “you still got it”.

He has also stated that his Australian tour as a whole has been “up there with the best”.

Not long ago, Liam Gallagher admitted that he can’t play ‘Wonderwall’ on guitar. He told The Herald Sun: “I don’t even know how to play it on guitar, man, that is the joke. My kid can play it, but seriously, I can’t.”

He also added: “Gene’s still in sixth form but he’s desperate to be in a band. He plays guitar and drums, he’s on the lookout for band members. I’ve not heard him sing, but he’s got the attitude and the look for sure. He’s a good little guitar player; he’s better than me. I mean, I can’t play, but he’s good.”
