Blues vocalist Kelli Baker has signed with Gulf Coast Records and is gearing up to release her debut EP Granite on October 24, 2025. Produced and engineered by Mike Watts at VUDU Studios, the record will be available in both digital and CD formats, with pre-orders now live at www.officialgcrstore.com.
Baker, often described as a sultry blues enchantress, has built a reputation for her powerful and emotive performances. Her upcoming EP showcases a dark mix of blues and rock, shaped by her Arizona roots and backed by an accomplished lineup of musicians. Among them is Italian guitar and harmonica player Noé Socha, known for his collaborations with Paula Cole and Vanessa Collier, and drummer Tom Curiano, who anchors the rhythm section.
Kelli Baker – Silk Flowers
The EP’s first single, “Silk Flowers”, will be released on August 1, 2025. Baker explained that the song was inspired by struggles within modern relationships, weaving in nostalgic elements from her family history:
“The cover art is a photo of my great-grandparents. My grandmother used to decorate her house with silk flowers — to me, it represents nostalgia, and a fabricated reality, lacking substance.”
Second Single
A second single, “Granite (Badlands)”, is set to arrive on September 9, 2025. The track reflects on personal loss and is dedicated to Baker’s late father. Recorded live with Socha, the song delivers a stripped-back, haunting performance that Baker says captures the raw emotion of grief and memory.
With Granite, Kelli Baker introduces herself as a new force in contemporary blues, blending heartfelt storytelling with commanding vocal power.
