Jessie Ware recently unveiled her brand new song ‘Overtime’. Produced by Andy Ferguson & Matt Mcbriar of Bicep & James Ford, the track is her debut release via a new partnership with PMR/Virgin EMI Records. Listen here.

‘Overtime’ is Jessie’s first release in a year and the follow up to the critically-embraced third album, ‘Glasshouse’ in 2017. The album further cemented Jessie’s reputation as one of the strongest and most successful songwriters and vocalists in UK music.

Premiered last night on Annie Mac’s Radio 1 show as the Hottest Record In The World, ‘Overtime’ sees Ware return to her roots with a more club-based sound. With its stuttering synths and sumptuous melodies, thanks to producers Andy Ferguson & Matt Mcbriar (AKA Bicep) and James Ford (Simian Mobile Disco), the track is an incisive, refreshingly positive throwback that channels the energy of classic UK house and dance music.

Speaking of the track, Jessie said, “Overtime is a taste of what’s to come. It’s been really fun being back in the studio and I’m so excited to share this track. I worked on it with some of my favourite producers; James Ford & the guys of Bicep. It feels like I’m going back to my early days; it’s a late night song to flirt too. Whilst I carry on working on new music, I hope you really enjoy this one.”

The past year has seen Jessie reinforce her status as one of the UK’s most influential artists with incredible live performances including a four-night residency at London’s Islington Assembly Hall followed by 2 sell-out nights at the Eventim Apollo Hammersmith, a US tour that sold out in minutes alongside a 17-date tour that covered nine countries. Her Table Manners podcast has also seen the south Londoner nominated at this year’s Audio Radio Industry Awards (ARIAS) for ‘Best Podcast’ & ‘Best New Presenter’.
