Hello! What Do You Enjoy Most About Being A Musician In 2025?
The thing i enjoy the most about being a musician in 2025 is the excitement of not knowing where your music could take you. It’s true that the market is more condensed than years ago there are much more musicians out there competing for opportunities, but there’s equally lots more places to put yourself out there as well; as long as you’re willing to search and work for them. And i’ve also found that gigging live in this musical era means that the people you are playing to are actually interested in what you’re doing… seeing as you beat Netflix to the punch for that person in that particular night which is SUCH an achievement nowadays!
Which Track Of Yours Means The Most To You?
“My Oldest Friend” is the track of my own that means the most to me. It’s for my departed best friend Dom who was the former lead singer when “Educatable” was “Educatables” and i was the drummer. I keep the flag flying for Dom. I wouldn’t be here now doing this if it wasn’t for him.
The First-Ever Gig You Played, Can You Remember It? How Was It?
My first ever gig was at my secondary school playing Stereophonics’ “Have A Nice Day” in the talent contest as a rock trio. We lost to a Freddie Mercury tribute. Git.
What Do You Think Is The Key To Success As A Musician?
The key to success as a musician is relentless persistence in what you’re doing to push yourself forward. You don’t even have to be the best at what you do; so long as you do it with heart and enough people are out there invested in what you do.
If You Weren’t A Musician, What Job Would You Be Doing?
If i wasn’t a musician i think i’d just give up on everything… i can’t do anything else well enough!
