On 23 November 2018, Bradford bornAsher Knightwill release a single from his debut EP despite his initial reluctance to perform and inability to speak in public. The single, entitled ‘Broken’ is just one moment of empowerment and success generated by CeCe Sammy, the world-renowned vocal coach, via her music therapy initiative ‘The Power of Muzik’.

Asher Knight is a 21 year old singer-songwriter whose love of singing aged 15 led to an introduction to vocal coach CeCe Sammy that changed his life. Working to improve his confidence it became a working relationship that flourished. Not only did their work together drastically and positively change Asher’s self-belief and ability to actually talk in public, but he has become one of the inspiring members of CeCe Sammy’s ‘The Power of Muzik Collective’. The collective are a group of singers that perform solo and together as part of the music therapy initiative constantly touring schools in partnership with Barnardo’s and helping others battle the effects of bullying and self-esteem issues.

These experiences have changed Asher Knight forever. He is now not only able to speak to his peers, but is also retelling his story and performing to others on stage hoping that others can learn and be inspired by his own experiences which included the trauma of bullying. His time with CeCe Sammy has also led to the recording of his single Broken a driving Latin inspired track bearing the insecurity born of failing relationships.

The end of 2018 will be the stuff of dreams for Asher: with his single released on 23 November, he will then join All Saints on tour as their support over 11 dates throughout the UK.
