‘Sleepwalking’ by All Time Low – Single Rating: 4/5 ★★★★☆

The latest song from American rock band All Time Low, ‘Sleepwalking’, features more of the band’s signature raw pop-punk sound. The band that has been consistently producing high-quality pop music for almost 20 years smash it again here, ushering in a new period while also maintaining the high standards that have come to define them as a band.

‘Sleepwalking’ starts off strong. It proves right away that the group mean business by barraging us with a wall of sound which we cannot refuse. The drums have an infectious rhythm, and the synths are whirling around in circles with a modulated texture.

Vocalist Alex Gaskarth makes a quick grab for the microphone. He immediately puts the endearing charisma that has been his trademark to the forefront of the interaction. He maintains a high level of energy and injects a novel dimension of experience into the mix.

The music is perpetually growing, and it reaches its climactic point in the middle section, where all of the instruments come together in unity. After that, the band takes a little step back as the music slows down, and then they come back for a massive, pivotal finale.

Overall, a very pleasing release from All Time Low. It is not a million miles away from their previous deliveries but still has a fresh spark which is restoring!
