It is not unusual to hear of mental health battles in the modern music industry. So much so, around 60 per cent of musicians have struggled with mental health according to recent stats.
Nevertheless, it has not always been a candid subject, with it only becoming more acceptable to speak about it in recent decades. But, that is not to say it did not exist previously with Sir Paul McCartney revealing that The Beatles also suffered.
Speaking to The Sunday Times, Sir Paul said that the group were more likely to make fun of their issues as a way of hiding them. He also stated that the band had “A lot of things to work through”. However, he did mention that they did adjust well to fame, despite their sudden rise to stardom.
