The end of the year is drawing in, the weather is prompting more coat purchases than ever before, and your life is most severely lacking in Spice. Well, if this is the case (which, let’s face it, it is) then there is some cracking news.

The Spice Girls are reportedly set for a reunion in 2018. This will include a one-off TV special and an album release. The group recorded three albums between 1994 and 2000, and nearly two decades later, we could be treated to some more content from the girl-power pioneers.

Secret talks have supposedly been taking place since the summer, involving all five members of the band: Victoria Beckham, Mel B, Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton and Mel C. A date has reportedly been set sometime in 2018.

Apparently, Victoria has been the trickiest of the bunch to convince. “Getting Victoria to agree has been a coup for everyone involved, given she has always been the person holding back on a reunion,” a source told The Sun. It’s possible that her current line of work as a fashion designer and full-time trend-setter has been keeping her occupied.

Some of the group have attempted the solo-career path following the band’s split, with varying but vastly underwhelming degrees of success. Hopefully, this event will propel them back to the top of the pop world where they belong.

With the mixture of a huge fanbase and some stone cold classic tunes, the comeback will be highly anticipated and eagerly watched. If an official announcement is made, I’m sure they’ll all be imploring their fans to, “Say You’ll Be There.”

What would you like to see out of this reunion? Tell us in the comments what you want. What you really, really want.
