Skyla Disney is a model, dancer, and social media influencer! To our good fortune, she stopped by!

Colby: Hello, Skyla. It is great to speak with you. You are a model and an influencer and have become a massive success over the last few years. Do you think that these opportunities which have arisen for you would have been there, e.g., 20 years prior, or do you think that the way the world is now is much better for those like yourself with ambition?

Skyla: This is an interesting question because my mom was a model 20 years ago so she tells me a lot about how different things were for her. I definitely feel that there are more opportunities today than there were 20 years ago, mostly due to social media. I think that there are a lot more resources and avenues for people to find success as models or influencers today. I also feel that the following I’ve built as an influencer helps in finding success as a model, and I think the same goes for anyone else who has put in the work to build a large following. I feel very fortunate to have found the success that I’ve had.

Colby: What do you think is the key to success?

Skyla: I think the key to success is having an open mind, being driven and staying positive.

Colby: You have appeared in numerous music videos. Which video stands out the most in terms of your memories?

Skyla: In terms of which one stands out the most in my memories, I’d have to go with the most recent one I’ve done, which was the video for “Little Kids Nowadays” by Brent Rivera. Just being on set with everyone was so much fun, everyone was really nice, and we made a lot of fun memories on the filming days.

Colby: Am I correct in thinking that you have dreams of becoming a doctor? That is incredible; what makes you want to head down that career path?

Skyla: Yes, you are 100% correct. I personally really want to head down the medical path most likely to do with sports because I like helping people and I love sports so I’d like to help fellow athletes get through any injuries and stuff like that. I just feel like it’d be both meaningful and a lot of fun as well.

Colby: What is your favourite song of all time?

Skyla: I have so many favorite songs, but my absolute favorite has to be either 2 Much by Justin Bieber or Die For You by The Weeknd.
