Music Legend Admits to Feeling ‘Intimidated’ Ahead of Historic Performance
Sir Elton John, the iconic 76-year-old music legend, is about to embark on a historic moment in his illustrious career. As the countdown to the world-famous Glastonbury Festival draws near, Sir Elton finds himself experiencing a mix of excitement and apprehension. The renowned musician, known for his flamboyant performances and timeless hits, confessed to feeling “a little intimidated” by the prospect of headlining the festival for the first time in his remarkable six-decade-spanning career.
Scheduled to take the stage on June 25, Sir Elton will grace the Pyramid Stage at Worthy Farm in Somerset, captivating a crowd that spans generations. In an interview with BBC London, the music maestro opened up about his emotions leading up to the momentous event. With humility, he admitted, “I’m a little, not frightened, but I’m a little intimidated by it because I haven’t played there, I haven’t been there.”
