Dirty Sound Magnet have just released their catchiest single to date, ‘Social Media Boy’, an energetic track focusing on the addiction to social media we see in today’s youth. It’s a topical look at the effect of social media and all through the lens of rock ‘n’ roll.

Dirty Sound Magnet describe themselves as a “power trio”, creating high-energy rock ‘n’ roll, psychedelic rock and everything in between. Last year the band released their debut album, with the single ‘Homo Economicus’ winning an award for “Best Swiss Rock Song 2017” and receiving plenty of radio play in numerous countries. So, given their clear talent, there was an appetite for more from the trio to take their music further and build on their growing musical footing.  Drawing inspiration from the likes of Tame Impala, MGMT, Led Zeppelin and more, they’re expected to reach new heights with their latest single ‘Social Media Boy’.

Revolving around energetic, punchy drums, an in-your-face bass-line, gritty guitars and plenty of experimental elements, ‘Social Media Boy’ is everything fans will expect and more. Lyrically, the song mocks youth culture’s addiction to social media and does so in an infectiously catchy style.

If you love unique rock music that’s oozing with riffs and hooks, then be sure to check out Dirty Sound Magnet’s latest single, ‘Social Media Boy’.  You will not be disappointed.
