Iconic British band Blur has once again come together, with singer Damon Albarn, guitarist Graham Coxon, drummer Dave Rowntree, and bassist Alex James reuniting for their ninth studio album, titled ‘The Ballad Of Darren’. Set to be released in July, the album promises a collection of heartfelt and captivating tracks that capture the essence of the band’s unique sound.

In an exclusive interview with The Sun’s Bizarre column, bassist Alex James opened up about the emotional journey of recording the new album. James revealed that the band experienced “moments of utter joy” during the creative process, hinting at the profound connection they felt while making music together once again.

One particular standout moment that James highlighted was during the recording of the track ‘St Charles’ Square’. He described it as a pivotal moment where he felt a surge of excitement, exclaiming, “This was the moment when I felt, ‘Oh my God, we’ve pulled it back’.” This glimpse into the recording process indicates that ‘The Ballad Of Darren’ holds immense promise for both longtime fans and newcomers alike.
