American rapper, Akil B. Strange stopped by for a chat!

Colby: What Do You Enjoy Most About Being A Musician?

Akil: The transmutation of human emotion into the language of nature.

Colby: Which Track Of Yours Means The Most To You?

Akil: Pavement. It encapsulates the spiritual path I have been on as an artist and a human being. When I lose sight of my purposes that song reminds me.

Colby: The First-Ever Gig You Played, Can You Remember It? How Was It?

Akil: Not really. It was at Vassar. I was a student. And most likely wasted. It was definitely fire tho.

Colby: What Do You Think Is The Key To Success As A Musician?

Akil: An impenetrable work ethic. Thick skinned perseverance. Some degree of passion.

Colby: If You Wasn’t A Musician, What Job Would You Be Doing?

Akil: F**k a job and the industrial system. I’d be deep in the woods eating mushrooms, talking to trees, and taking care of my Mother Earth. And training my son to be a young shaman. That’s my job.
