Sharkmania Comes To Manchester: Amy Shark At Manchester’s Gorilla

Amy Shark has been taking Europe by storm. Kicking off her European tour back in January in Hamburg and two weeks later ending it in sub-zero Manchester. A far cry from the Gold Coast of Australia. Amy Sharks presence in Australia is phenomenal with 6 Aria Music Awards to her name already. Including album of the year and Best Female Artist. From these achievements alone, it’s only a matter of time till her success is replicated world-wide!

Amy Shark performed at the intimate venue Gorilla. A great venue for an engaging musician speaking to her truly adored fans. Stand-up comedy was offered to fans also at times. Poking fun at her in laws and tales of her songs, she really let her fans feel truly connected, something that some artists find difficult to do!

Amy Shark’s set list treated fans to performances from her 2018 Love Monster Album. But with throwbacks to her earlier EP Night Thinker! Taking full overall use of her stage and picking up her electric and acoustic guitars throughout the night, it really did give her fans the most spectacular night of music!

Her Love Monster album features “Psycho” performed on the album with Blink 182’s Mark Hoppus. Which as a result, is a statement in itself, another sign that Amy Shark is only just at the very start of what will be an amazing career. Taking on both parts of the duet herself tonight, it really was one of the best performances of the evening.

Incredible Night Overall

If the night wasn’t already incredible enough, Gorilla became the biggest Karaoke bar in the country. Amy Shark picked up her acoustic guitar and performed her Spotify Sessions cover “Teenage Dirtbag”. Which for many will easily be one of the best ever covers of a classic!

Throughout the night fans continued to show their appreciation with huge cheers after every each and every song. Returning the appreciation, Amy Shark consequently thanked Manchester for their support.

Amy Shark ended the night with her mega hit “I Said Hi” introducing it by encouraging her “Little Amy Shark Cults around the world” to tell all those not yet a fan that Amy Shark said Hi and with this performance she really did say HI!
