The announcement of the project came via Mark Hoppus’ twitter account. Mark teased of a new project earlier this week. He recently spoke to LivexLive at iHeartRadio’s ALTer EGO Festival. Mark was asked if there were any new projects on the way. “Yes, but I’m not at liberty to talk about it tonight.” …You will find out about it very soon.”.
The news comes with along the first song ‘Drug’. The track is one that Hoppus says “is always the first song we play people when introducing them to Simple Creatures…It only makes sense that it’s the first single.” Mark further stated that ‘Drug’ muses “Lyrically…about being destroyed by the things you love.”
