Bastille announce intimate headline 2019 UK, Ireland and European tour

Ahead of the release of their third studio album, indie-pop/rock band Bastille have announced a slew of gigs around the country early next year much fans’ delight. The lads of Bastille have played in pretty much every arena in Europe, as well as a host of pubs, bars, and more intimate venues, leaving no area unvisited. This time, Bastille will be taking ‘The Still Avoiding Tomorrow Tour’ Part 1 on the road and stopping at iconic venues like Manchester’s Victoria Warehouse and London’s O2 Academy Brixton.

On Twitter, the band said of the tour: ‘We can’t wait to head back out on tour & revisit some more intimate venues to play a bunch of new songs in the lead up to our new album.’

At Life is Beautiful Festival in Las Vegas, NV last week, frontman Dan Smith announced that the fourth mixtape in the bands ‘Other People’s Heartache’ series would be dropping within the next two weeks. In May the band dropped ‘Quarter Past Midnight’, the first and currently only single from the bands hotly anticipated third album, Doom Days, believed to be coming after The Still Avoiding Tomorrow Tour, Part 1. There’s no set date yet, and Smith has repeatedly stated that he doesn’t know when the ‘apocalyptic party album’ will be coming, as his label don’t trust him not to spill it. However, you can bag yourself a sneak peek at some of their new tracks on this tour. Earlier this year Bastille toured with an orchestra as part of their limited ‘ReOrchestrated Tour’, showcasing some of their earlier tracks reworked and re-engineered completely.

Recently Bastille collaborated with producer Marshmello on the massive dance track ‘Happier’, which is currently number 4 on the UK Single Chart. Read our glowing  review of ‘Happier’ here.

Pre-sale opens and begins Wednesday at www.bastillebastille.com and general sale begins Friday 5th October.
